Professional Bull Riders’ Unleash The Beast Tour

The elite Unleash The Beast’s Monster Energy Invitational, featuring the Top 30 bull riders in the world, will be held at Tucson Arena on Nov. 26-27.

For two nights only, the Top 30 bull riders in the world will compete in one of the most exciting live sporting events to witness. Going head-to-head against the sport’s rankest bovine athletes, the tour stop will showcase the ultimate showdown of man vs. beast. In launching the new premier series season, the PBR Monster Energy Invitational will play a crucial role in shaping the initial championship race to the PBR World Finals in late May in Fort Worth, Texas, which awards a gold buckle and million-dollar bonus to the world’s best bull rider. This is the first time since 2016 that the world’s leading bull riding organization has visited Tucson.

When PBR was last in Tucson, 2002 PBR World Champion Ednei Caminhas (Indaiatuba, Brazil) reached a critical career milestone. As the lone rider to go a perfect 3-for-3, the Brazilian native captured his first Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour (PWVT) event victory inside Tucson Arena. Caminhas clinched the victory in the championship round when he rode Luke for 87.5 points.

Since the last PBR event held in 2017 at Tucson Arena, Caminhas qualified for the 2022 PBR World Finals, his first ride at a PBR World Finals in 13 years.

The bull riding action for the PBR Monster Energy Invitational begins with Round 1 at 6:45 p.m. MST on Saturday, November 26, followed by Round 2 and the championship round at 1:45 p.m. MST on Sunday, November 27. All competing bull riders will get on one bull each in Rounds 1-2. Following Round 2 Sunday afternoon, the riders’ individual two-round scores will be totaled with the Top 12 advancing to the championship round for one more out and a chance at the event title.

Tickets for the two-day event go on sale Sunday, August 14 at 10:00 a.m. MST, and start at $15, taxes and fees not included. Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com and PBR.com, at the Tucson Arena Box Office or by calling PBR customer service at 1-800-732-1727.

Two-day ticket packages will also be available, offering fans up to a 20% discount on select price levels.
