University of Arizona Wildcats Hockey opens the 2018-19 home season versus ultimate rival Arizona State University on Friday, Sept. 28 and Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Tucson Arena. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. both nights.

The two games of opening weekend also mark the start of this season’s competition to win the trophy that signifies supremacy in Arizona college hockey each season, the Cactus Cup. The Wildcats currently possess the Cactus Cup after earning a record of 5-1-1 against Arizona State during the 2017-18 season.

Head Coach Chad Berman returns for his fifth season behind the bench as Arizona enters the season with key new additions to the roster along with 18 returning players.

Arizona will play twenty-five home games at Tucson Arena during the 2018-19 season. After the two games against ASU, the Wildcats leave Tucson for the month of October to play nine road games. Arizona Wildcats hockey will return to the Tucson Arena on Saturday, Nov. 3 to face the NHL alumni team.
